remember the pussycat dolls? well, founding member kaya jones is settin’ off on a world tour and she and her crew celebrated the launch of her new album by wearing custom jewelry by the one and only b-s-t-r-d! born and bred in our fair toronto, kaya recently launched her solo album, rise of the phoenix, and like any true star, hosted a big ol’ party in hollywood to launch it. bstrd was there, as one of the event’s sponsors, and we’re pretty stoked about having the opportunity to get our brand some exposure with the international media outlets, hollywood agents and entertainment and fashion journalists who were there.

of course, we couldn’t refuse when kaya’s public relations rep asked us to design some custom jewelry for the singer and her crew to wear. for our fav pussycat doll, we gifted a gorgeous hand chain, something we know will give a nice lil touch of bling and move comfortably with her whether she’s hoppin’ on and off of planes and buses or singing and shakin’ it at her performances. to see kaya sporting our gear and rep’n our label makes us pretty damn excited, to say the least.

one of the things we pay close attention to when coming up with new designs for our custom jewelry is that it not only looks like a million but is also totally functional, meaning you’re still able to move when sporting our pieces. we’d never sell a body chain that a chick could only wear comfortably while standing, or a necklace that was so fragile she couldn’t leave it on when rollin’ around with the kiddies or rollin’ around in other places…;)
